Our Statement of Faith

At The Room Syracuse, we stand on the historic Christian faith and the authority of Scripture. We hold to beliefs that have shaped the Church for centuries and continue to guide us in following Jesus today.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It reveals who God is, how He works, and how we’re called to live.

God

We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the Son of God—fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again. Jesus is our Savior, Redeemer, and King.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus. We are forgiven, restored, and made new—not by our effort, but by His finished work.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, empowering us to follow Jesus, grow in holiness, receive spiritual gifts, and live transformed lives.

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ—called to worship, to grow, to serve, and to carry the hope of Jesus to the world. Every believer has a place and a purpose in God’s family.

Baptism & Communion

We practice water baptism as a public declaration of faith in Jesus and receive Communion as a remembrance of His sacrifice.

Healing & Wholeness

We believe God still heals and restores—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We pray with expectation and trust God’s care for every person.

Marriage & Identity

We believe God created every person in His image with dignity, purpose, and worth. We affirm God’s design for life, identity, and marriage as taught in scripture.

The Resurrection & Eternity

We believe Jesus will return and make all things new. Those who trust in Him will experience eternal life with God.
