Why Easter?

Some church history

  • The Early Church celebrated the resurrection weekly.

  • In the 2nd century, some Easter traditions begin to appear with an annual celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection. Sometimes this celebration would fall on a weekday.

  • The church in Rome later insisted that Easter should be celebrated on Sunday, as that was the day of the resurrection.

  • During the First Council of Nicaea, it was established that Easter would always be on a Sunday. It was to be connected to Passover, but independent of the Jewish Calendar.

  • In the 4th and 5th centuries, the Holy Week liturgies would be developed.

At The Room, we are joining with church history as we celebrate Easter.

We make room for kids to meet God

During our service, kids from walking up to 5th grade will be able to enjoy their own church service.

All of our volunteers are background checked and trained to offer a safe environment to learn about Jesus

Kids will have an Easter egg hunt during service
